Founder Märta Larsson established her namesake and now international label in 2013 following her eclectic background of training as a ballet dancer and time spent as the lead singer in a punk band in London.
Inspired by the pristine and rugged nature of Lapland where Märta was raised, the label was launched with one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces, hand-crafted from raw stones hand-picked by Märta herself; stones including pyrite, black tourmaline, quartz, amethyst and lapis are transformed into unique pieces, hard-bound by metals for an unexpected edge.
Following the success of Märta’s jewellery designs, the RTW collection was launched in 2018 offering trans-seasonal silk separates and luxurious kaftans, adorned with abstract prints generated from the unique stones that resonate so closely to the heart of the label. Environmentally-conscious, Märta Larsson now based in Stockholm design and produce locally in small production runs, using recycled precious metals and responsible production methods. All jewellery is handmade in Stockholm.
